Lasting Impressions Home & Garden

You may be wondering how Herbie Home Interiors and Lasting Impressions Home & Garden are connected… Well, they are sister businesses, connected by Aspen, the owner of both, who has a passion for creating beautiful, considered spaces.

Herbie Home Interiors is our interior design business, working with clients both locally across the Bendigo and Shepparton regions, as well as online with regional, rural and remote clients across Australia. We help clients create homes that are functional, personal and beautifully aligned with the way they live.

Lasting Impressions Home & Garden is our dedicated property styling business, based in Bendigo, Victoria and servicing surrounding areas. While Herbie Home Interiors focuses on creating homes to be lived in, Lasting Impressions focuses on preparing homes for market — styling them to connect with buyers, elevate presentation and create a memorable first impression.

While the purpose of each business is different, the design philosophy remains the same.

Thoughtful. Layered. Considered.

“A thoughtfully styled home doesn’t just look beautiful - it creates a feeling.”

You might be preparing to sell your home, but unsure how to present it at its best or whether styling will truly make a difference.

Maybe the home feels comfortable, but not quite market-ready. It photographs flat, lacks warmth, or doesn’t reflect the level you know it could achieve.

And when every decision impacts how buyers perceive your home — and ultimately what they’re willing to pay — it can feel like a lot to get right.

That’s where property styling comes in.

Styling your home for sale is one of the most effective ways to elevate how it’s seen, experienced and remembered by buyers.

A thoughtfully styled home doesn’t just look beautiful — it creates a feeling.

It draws people in online, stands out in photography and most importantly, allows buyers to walk through the space and instantly picture themselves living there.

Without styling, a home can feel empty, disconnected or underwhelming.

With the right styling, it feels warm, inviting and complete.

And that shift often leads to stronger interest, increased competition and a higher sale result.

And that’s where Lasting Impressions Home & Garden comes in — our dedicated property styling business focused on preparing homes for market.

Drawing on the same design principles, attention to detail and understanding of how people experience a space, Lasting Impressions specialises in transforming homes into market-ready properties that connect with buyers from the moment they walk through the door.

Whether it's a vacant property requiring full styling or an occupied home needing refinement, our goal is simple: to showcase your home at its absolute best and leave a Lasting Impression.

Our Services

Full Home Styling

For vacant properties requiring a complete transformation.

Our full home styling service is designed for homes that are empty or have minimal furnishings. We provide everything needed to create a complete and cohesive home, from furniture and artwork through to décor, soft furnishings and finishing touches.

Each room is thoughtfully styled to showcase the home's proportions, highlight its best features and help buyers visualise how the space can be lived in.

Partial Home Styling

For homes with existing furniture, artwork or décor requiring refinement and elevation.

Our partial styling service works with the pieces already within the home, thoughtfully layering in our curated furniture, artwork and accessories where needed to create a more cohesive and polished presentation.

This approach allows us to enhance what already exists, improve flow and balance throughout the home, and create the warmth and connection buyers are looking for.

Our process

behind a market ready home

Styling your home for sale isn’t just about bringing in furniture — it’s about understanding the home, the buyer, and how to present the space at its absolute best. At Lasting Impressions, every project is approached with intention and care, ensuring the final result feels elevated, cohesive and ready for market.

Here’s our step-by-step process for every home we style:

Property Review with Tailored Proposal & Quote
We begin with a review of your home to understand the space, its layout and its potential. We discuss whether a full home style or partial style is best for your property. From there, you’ll receive a tailored proposal and quote with considered recommendations on how to best present your home for sale.

Planning & Preparation
Once your quote is accepted and your hire agreement is signed, your project is carefully planned, selecting pieces from our curated collection to enhance your homes style and attract your ideal buyer. During the planning phase, we will be in contact with your Real Estate Agent to ensure we work in with their scheduled photography and marketing timeline.

Installation & Styling
We install and style your home over two days, carefully layering furniture, artwork and accessories to create warmth, flow and a sense of lifestyle, with every detail refined and ready for marketing photography, video and open homes.

Market-Ready Presentation
The finished result is a home that feels complete, inviting and elevated — beautifully prepared for photography and designed to create an emotional connection with buyers from the moment they step through the door.

6-Week Hire with Flexible Extensions
Your styling includes a 6-week hire period, with the option to extend weekly if needed, ensuring your home continues to present at its best throughout the sales campaign.

A seamless, considered process designed to take the guesswork out of preparing your home for market — and replace it with clarity, confidence and a result you can feel proud of.

Luxurious Transformations

There’s often a noticeable shift between how a home looks before styling… and how it feels after.

A space that once felt empty or uncertain becomes warm, balanced and inviting.

A home that felt “fine” becomes something buyers remember.

Through:
→ Layered textures and soft, luxurious linens
→ Carefully selected furniture and proportion
→ Intentional styling moments that create interest and flow

We transform homes into beautifully styled spaces that feel warm, inviting and ready for market.

Recently renovated, this three-bedroom home beautifully blended modern living with its original character. Through thoughtful styling, we highlighted its warmth, proportions and quality finishes, creating a home that felt inviting, elevated and ready for market.

The result was a space buyers could connect with with the property selling and settling within six weeks of styling.

Our Portfolio

199 Carpenter Street, Quarry Hill

This brand new build featured a well considered open floor plan and thoughtful spatial design throughout the home. While the property presented beautifully when vacant, the transformation through styling completely shifted the way the home felt and was experienced.

Through our styling, each space was brought to life highlighting the generous proportions of the rooms while creating warmth, flow and a true sense of home. The styling allowed buyers to emotionally connect with the property and envision their lifestyle within the space.

The property successfully sold within weeks of hitting the market.

9 Austen Terrace, East Bendigo

This architecturally designed home featured a unique floor plan with considered angles, varied spaces and distinctive architectural elements. Our styling approach focused on enhancing the home's natural flow, maximising the sense of space and helping each area feel intentional and connected.

Through carefully selected furniture, décor and placement, we highlighted the expansive living, dining and kitchen areas while creating a cohesive and elevated presentation for market. The property was also proudly featured by Melbourne House Spotters.

164B Williamson Street, Bendigo

Located in the heart of Bendigo, this architectural home presented beautifully vacant, featuring generously sized bedrooms and expansive living areas. However, some spaces contrasted in scale and felt noticeably smaller within the overall flow of the home.

Our approach to styling focused on enhancing the home’s spacious design while thoughtfully softening and opening up the smaller areas to create greater cohesion, balance and flow throughout the property.

The result was a home that felt connected from beginning to end, allowing buyers to comfortably envision themselves living within the space and experience the home as both functional and inviting.

With a background in interior design and a lifelong connection to rural living, Aspen brings a unique perspective to property styling — combining design expertise with an understanding of how homes are experienced and remembered.

Growing up on a family farm in Victoria and later living in Katherine, NT, Aspen developed a love for creating practical, timeless spaces that feel warm and welcoming. This appreciation for thoughtful design now translates into every property styled through Lasting Impressions Home & Garden.

Aspen’s approach is calm, considered and results-focused — enhancing each home's natural strengths through carefully curated furniture, artwork and accessories. Rather than imposing a style, she focuses on creating spaces that feel authentic to the property while helping buyers connect and envision themselves living there.

When she’s not styling or designing interiors, you’ll usually find Aspen on the family farm with the horses, enjoying time with her hubby and three dogs, or jetting off on her next camping adventure.
